NYX Round Lipstick

Posted on Monday, February 11, 2013

Aren't they so pretty? These three has just arrived at my house yesterday and I was so excited to see the colors. NYX is one of my favorite makeup brands mainly because they always offer an uber wide range of colors. So wide 'till it took me hours and hours to decide which to buy. It is difficult to find the right swatch on the internet, so let me share my version of swatches, starting from the left to the right :

HOT PINK
HAUTE MELON

STELLA

Loves :
<3 Wide range of color
<3 Affordable, IDR 35.000 at NyxNyxNyxII
<3 Moist

Hates :
x Not as pigmented as I expected it to be, it's a sheer lipstick
x The Stella one is too sheer, the texture is a bit dry. Me no likey.

I am not really impressed with this lipsticks. Yes, the color is pretty but I wish they were more pigmented. I still prefer Revlon lipsticks. But still, it's nice to have :)

Curling Your Hair Without Any Heat!

Posted on Saturday, February 2, 2013

For you all straight haired girls out there, ever feel like you want curly hair so bad but too lazy to go to salon or to damage your hair with curling iron? This is the solution for you. I’ve tried so many ways to curl my hair with no heat, and so far, this is the best method. I swear by this! (I took these pictures form my former online store, too lazy to remove the logo :p)

Say hello to my pretty bestie, Larasati Septani here as our model :)

1. Let your hair down (of course). You can apply anti-frizz serum or whatever, I usually don’t and it works just fine.
2. Brush your hair.
3&4. Take an elastic head band
5. Use the headband around your head
6-9. From the front part, take a piece of your hair, then twist it and tuck it underneath the headband. Do it all around your head. Tuck it nice and tight.
10. Leave it for about 15-3 minutes or if you want the best result can leave it overnight

Voila! a very nice wavy and bouncy hair. Remember, the tighter you tuck the hair the curlier it gets. Happy curling!

Sleek i Divine Palette : Original

Posted on Thursday, January 31, 2013

Heyhoo!

Been addicted to makeup palettes lately. Well, I've been a makeup tutorial junkie since I don't know when but these last three months, I just started collecting things and feeling my candy jar with pweety sweets like crazy. I don't do haul, I only buy things one at a time and it's never an impulsive buying (yet). I always aaalways do my research before I decide to buy new makeup. And this sweetypie knocked my door few weeks ago

Sleek i Divine Palette : Orginal

The packaging is very compact and sleek, and it comes with a sponge tip which everyone always despise but it turns out pretty good for me. The eyeshadows, as you can see, have waffer pattern on it.

Sleek Cosmetics (as you already might have known), is an UK based makeup brand. One of it's most famous collection is the i Divine Palettes. This is my first sleek palette and I chose this one because it has a wider range of colors while being versatile and also wearable.

I took a picture of the swatches but because the lighting didn't do any justice to the color, I took a picture from A Vain Woman because I think this swatch really show the true colors of the eyeshadows.

It has 12 shades and they're all shimmery! UBER SHIMMERY!

The Loves and TheHates

Loves :
<3 Pigmentation : high
<3 Texture : Soft
<3 Pretty Colors
<3 Price : IDR 150.000,- from Make Up Tools Shop
<3 Color Range

Hates :
x Over Shimmery
x A bit Flaky
x Annoying fall outs

It was love and hate at the first sight but after spending some times playing with this palette and found the best way to apply it (for me personally), I'm starting to lololove this Original palette.

Best way to apply :
- After a primer
- Wet a with the sponge tip. It's a mineral based eyeshadow, so you can use it dry or wet.
- Tab before apply
- Use it as an eyeliner with a wet eyeliner brush. Fun!

Overall, it is a quite nice palette and turns out very fun after you get used to the texture. Try it! :)
